Project 2: Individual Research into Digital Fabrication

Description

Your brief for this project is to conduct independent, self-directed research into computer controlled fabrication. You will identify the topic. This could be research into a process or workflow that you are particularly interested in (for instance injection molding, sheet metal fabrication, inflatables, soft fabrication). It could be a continuation of a creative work from a previous quarter. It could be a new idea for a project.

The concept is open-ended, but you will need to submit a written proposal for your project. (see proposal below)

We will present these projects Week 10 in a public showcase. And you will submit documentation and a short two page report at the end of the quarter.

Proposal

Write a two paragraph proposal.

Please include 2-3 sketches or images that help illustrate your idea.

This written proposal will be submitted online to Canvas, DUE Monday 2/10 End of Day (11:59) https://canvas.ucsd.edu/courses/62889/assignments/910169
